Due to mixed-up sleep schedules and waiting for Abbie to awake from her morning nap, we (my grandmother, Jack and Abigail) were forced to head to the park much later in the morning than we had planned and were there in the awful heat of midday. I lathered those two up with sunscreen before we left, but the slides were scalding. We stayed long enough to satisfy the promise of the park. The neighborhood park here seems to be for much older kids anyway.

So this evening, we headed about two minutes away to Watkins park for some more age-appropriate equipment.

Jack immediately claimed the car as "mine!"

And the slides.

And this swing.

But Gail found her own.

That girl is going to love roller coasters. She's a thrill seeker, which she made evidently clear after her nap today. My dad and I took turns holding her hands and catching her body as she walked up and down the stairs (and by walking down, I mean she would just walk right off the step and expect someone to catch her). I kept moving her elsewhere, but she would always scurry right back.
