1. Jack is so excited about going to the dentist with me next week. I have to get one of my molars smoothed out, so Jack will just watch during that, which will hopefully ease his mind enough to sit while Dr. Dan just looks at his ten or 12 tiny teeth.
2. He was equally thrilled about going to the doctor's yesterday, though it was Abigail's 1-year appointment. He took his toy stethascope that came with a toy animal hospital and made me listen to his heart and lungs. That always brings a huge smile to his face, which he quickly tries to hide with his hands.
3. "The farmer rang the bell! The farmer rang the bell! Ho hi mayweee-oh."- his version of The Farmer in the Dell.
4. Today when I said it was about nap time: He comes into the kitchen holding his beloved bulldozer and dump truck and says (exaggeratedly sounding out-of-breath), "Oh, I so tired. I needa take a nap. I so tiiiired. Oh, bullsoder so seeepy. He needa take a nap."
5. The transition to the twin bed was much better than I had expected. I was worried that having no rails would result in him springing into our bedroom every morning or even in the middle of the night, but he always calls us before getting out- even to pick up his "pingin" that had fallen on the floor. He only fell the first night, though I don't know how he stays on-- every time I go in to check on him, his head's at the footboard or his legs are sprawled up the wall.
