We got to watch our friends' adorable kitten, Rex, for a few days. We all loved his playfulness and cuddles.
Zeke has been asking to paint this desk, which we told him could be his school desk. It was Mike's when he was little.

Fun with kinetic sand
We took a lot of walks.
He headed outside with his umbrella right after I turned on the garden sprinkler one day.
So many cucumbers. This is one of my favorite ways to eat them.
I scored this play dome for cheap on Marketplace, and Mike kindly disassembled it and brought it home after work one day. He and Jack put it back together in our yard.
He was so pleased to have mastered the upside down hang!
And this one was so pleased with herself one morning when Abby had been watching her. Abby did her hair and they made double chocolate pineapple zucchini bread (we've made a lot of that this summer).
We worked on sharing and playing nicely together this week- not that they don't frequently play nicely, but their play is often interrupted by high pitched screams when one wants something the other has, and... my poor nerves. Having just the two of them gave me the opportunity to really pour into them and devote some time to actually teaching sharing, which I'm not sure I'd ever formally done with them before.
AND I finally had some undivided time to focus on potty training this one! It has been a drawn out process, but she's got the hang of it. No more (daytime) daipers, for the first time in EIGHTEEN YEARS! Champagne, anyone?
Now if we could just get this other one potty trained...
