Abby's high school graduation

Abby finished her classes way back in early March and has been continuing to work as a CNA at Beehive Homes and train for the Navy. After a lot of prayer and discernment, she enlisted Active duty a few weeks ago and has been working to improve her physical screening test before she leaves for Basic training NEXT WEEK(!).

High School gradaute! {HFH graduation}

Jack's Holy Family Homeschoolers graduation ceremony was on May 15. Despite him doing all of high school through Kolbe Academy Online, he's remained active in our homeschool group, doing Friday afternoon Enrichment Activities every spring and fall, performing in the HFH plays, dance club, Dead Theologians Society, and running with the HFH Warriors XC team. He's made some good friends through Kolbe throughout his time there, but our homeschool group has been a fantastic local community for him. Yes, he has been "socialized." Hah!

On the day of the HFH graduation, he was finishing up the last of his final exams. He was going to take Iris and her friend Eva early to St. Mary's, where the graduation Mass and ceremony were to be held. Eva also had to be there early for 8th grade graduation photos. When Iris called him to go, as they were going to be late, he responded, "Hold on, I just have to finish high school!" 😂

Here is a link to the poor quality video of us giving him his diploma (I wish I'd been more prepared in my words to him but had been told parents can, but don't have to, say something short, no longer than a minute, and all of the other parents got up there with a written paper, it seemed!). I love how they play the slideshow of photos after they go up to recieve their diplomas (I wish I could have picked a different song, like Don't Stop Me Now, for instance, as one kid got- oh well!) Also, he was, appropriately, I think, voted "Most Likely to Silently Take Over the World" HAH!

After the ceremony, Jack and some of his buddies went to Culver's, at which an employee asked why Jack was dressed as he was. WHen he responded it was for his graduation, the guy altered this bib and gifted it to him.

So proud of this guy! God has some special plans for him.
