Easter Day! He is Risen!

St. Lucia!

It does look like she found a bird. But she was sore she didn't get a basket, and I closed her in here while the kids enjoyed theirs. So she destroyed the feather duster she found.

Jack was with us in spirit (still working through those 2025 grad plates :-D)

Holy Saturday, Easter vigil

I hardboiled 24 on Friday. Somehow, we only had 15 come dye time 🤔

Penny dropped my candle as soon as we got to our seats, and it broke 😑

Miraculously, they made it through all 2.5 hours of Mass without falling asleep or fussing (Penny did begin asking rather loudly if it was done beginning with the homily, which Fr. Chahm impressively gave in both English and Spanish, and there was a LOT to follow with all the baptisms and catechisms). But the candles and lights going on and off and bells and sprinkling of water kept them rivited... such a beautiful service!

We were gathering to take a family photo when Fr. Garrett came over to chat, so I asked him to join in our photo... a proxy for Jack :-D

I kind of wanted to have Max stand in for him. We sure missed Jack. But he was enjoying a beautiful Easter vigil Mass at JPC.

He's been schemeing this one for a while X-D I called him Jedadiah. Joel ran and hid. Mercifully, the rest came off shortly after.
