Blurry, but this one captures her smiles as of late well.

Our sweet Honey Bunches of Opes is already two months! She is such a delightful baby, always ready to greet anyone with a big, contagious smile- sometimes on the verge of laughing, it seems- and those unbelievably wide, bright eyes (which we get comments on whenever we venture out with her). I love how she imitates expressions and tries to "talk" back to us with little coos. For the most part, she is still a crazy, sloppy nurser, but she's NURSING, and I'm so happy about that. We grow more and more in love with our newest family member with each passing day. So blessed are we.

Christmas Day

A bunch of shots from the fun here today...

From December 25, 2012
Jack was THRILLED with his new (to him) Egyptian Playmobil set. Nevermind it was missing a couple of pieces (and the box). He played with it all day, except for when he took a break to excavate the mummy from the kit Grandma and Grandpa gave him.

Abigail asked for clothes for her baby and an umbrella, so she was also quite pleased.

The girls' most favorite gift. Hah-- kidding. But the packaging was up there. Especially for Russie.

Merry Christmas!

We had a wonderfully laid back day at home-- enjoying a big breakfast of Mike's delicious slow-cooked eggs, cinnamon swirl bread (I made four loaves yesterday for us and some friends), and oranges, took our time opening and playing with gifts this morning, and watched The Nativity Story this evening before packing to head to Mimi and Pop's in the morning. We're looking forward to spending time with family and friends in Maryland the next few days.

Merry Christmas!

Wintergarden

On this Christmas Eve Eve (I can't believe it), we went to PPG's Wintergarden downtown to see the gingerbread houses and international Santas with our friends, the Kubiluses, as we have the past couple of years.

Watch for a four-way-wedding in years to come. The Kubilus' four kids are about the same age as ours, except the genders are swapped. We'd take Tom and Jess as in-laws any day.

It was fun to look at all of the themed gingerbread houses.

I liked this little log-cabin with pretzel rods and Chex.

And this one reminded us of E, who LOVES Titanic (the movie).

We actually made our own gingerbread house the other day... from a kit, mind you, which Jack convinced me to get as we were leaving a store the other day. Maybe next year, we'll be gung ho enough to create one from scratch.
