Welcome to the Church, Penelope Lucia

(Pictures of the baptism ceremony by Abigail)
We were blessed to welcome Penelope into the Church through Holy baptism on Saturday, April 30. And what a blessing to have the Roccos again be godparents of another of our children. Such a faith-filled family and so devoted- they planned to travel here from Pittsburgh for Toby's first Communion before we asked them to be Penelope's godparents. And it worked out perfectly to have her baptized during their short but sweet visit here. I love these visits and how our kids always seem to pick up right where they last left off.

"At Baptism, I received grace — that quality that makes me share in the very nature of God." ~Mother Angelica

May you find your place in Christ's kingdom, and may He dwell within you always, Penelope Lucia!

Back home randomness

I don't think I ever got a picture of Joel in his costume. He was a Blue Ninja, and Toby was in a cheetah Wild Kratts creature suit.
Reading a classic <3
Cuddling our friends' newborn bunnies
Grandpa is so good with babies.
Learning all about electoral college
This boy can be calmed pretty quickly in a bath.
Opening a Baptism Day gift from her godparents on Wednesday (their baptism gifts each cleverly have to do with light)
Speaking of light, I have missed these sunsets
Learning about the Hudson River School and making some of our own art

I am so grateful to be back here, running on my usual country routes <3 God is amazing.
We are blessed.

Welcome into the Church, Ezekiel Thomas!

(Thanks to Sharon for most of the baptism pics!) What a blessing to welcome Zeke into the Church through the sacrament of baptism this past Friday! It was a small ceremony, with just his godparents, Grandma and Grandpa, Fr. Mick, and Mike and me. We will look back on these pictures with masks and caution taped pews and remember the strange time during which he was born. On Friday evening, we had a small celebration with pizza and cake with just our "bubble" of family.

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” ~Joshua 1:9

Welcome into the Church, sweet boy!
