end of August photo dump
It's bruschetta season, and we've been making LOTS!Our pastorate is looking to have an icon- or multiple- painted for our churches. We visited Drazen Duper's studio- and learned so much about the history of icons and iconographer techniques. He even made the frame of this one!The garden has been busy. Every day, there's a bucket or two to haul up. My monthly book group- we meet monthly at a local coffee shop. Recently, we read Crime and Punishment, which I am STILL trying to get through. And L.M. Montgomery's The Blue Castle- a bit lighter ;)Mike took this crew to Noah's Ark the last Friday of the summer (technically, two days after we started school, but it was when he could get off).
Even Lu joined them this year. I got nearly 13 hours of uninterrupted (besides Maple) time at home to plan and clean and do whatever I pleased!
We are learning about ecology and the animal kingdom this year- lots of observations happening.Z & P wanted to set up to have naps in the pantry one day. Only Zeke actually napped. He made a bakery. Those eyes! She's so leggy. She picked out this little dog and carrier when she finally potty trained.First cantaloupe!Dentist Bucky

First time growing Dahlias
I love hanging with these two during the big kids' cross country (when I'm not helping out)FInally tried out Seven Acre Dairy in Paoli with this girl for some special one-on-one time- I LOVED it! The atmosphere was awesome, the food was fantastic, though I don't know how I feel about Sweet corn and honey soft serve ice cream (their flavor of the month). We didn't have time to try any.
Goof.
That's a wrap, August.
