duck tales

We thought we should go see the giant duck before heading out of Pittsburgh. So we joined some good friends at the Point and had picnic lunches while we were there. I could only muster up a stop at Subway this morning, but that's how it goes the week before you move.

It was hard not to get a little sentimental looking around at all of the sights that have become so familiar over these past eleven years-- thinking on how much has come to pass in that time. Mike and I first came to the Point almost eleven years ago for Light Up Night when we were freshmen at CMU. We knew each other, though neither of us knew the other was there. Fast forward to today-- Sue's and my combined nine kids (at least the ones capable of it) had fun gallivanting around the fountain with their friends, whom we've had the pleasure of seeing quite a bit just recently. To say we will miss this dear family is an understatement. They've been with us through so much, and my friendship with Sue has grown so much deeper in just this past year or so. I can only pray that God will bless us with friends like these in Wisconsin. We have been so blessed here.

Our friendship will still grow...just in a long-distance sort of way. The Roccos love cheese. You can't keep us out of Wisconsin ;0) (yesterday Nino was convinced that Mike had taken a job as a cheese maker.)

You will be missed but what an exciting new adventure! Can't wait to hear all about it!
