Zeke- 10 months

What a little dreamboat this babe is. He wrinkles up his nose and flashes a flirty grin to anyone who greets him with a smile. He prefers being held by Mom and either of his big sisters and will reach out his hands to us for a hug. His signs include "milk," and "more" (which is sometimes more of a clap), but it's so fun to be able to communicate with him more. He says "nigh' nigh'" and "Mama," "Dada," something that sounds an awful lot like "Agai'" (Abigail), and shows he recognizes a lot more words by pointing, looking at things, or reacting when we say them: "kitty," (he makes a high pitched noise) "chickens," "read book," "bath," and he even "sings" along when we sing sometimes and watches intently when we act out Itsy Bitsy Spider or other hand motion songs. It's very sweet. Sometimes, he'll playfully shake his head from side to side and squint his eyes when he's feeling silly.

He still sleeps in a pack 'n' play in our closet and has been sleeping very well- most of the time through the night from 9-6 or 7 (though I know he's due for regression any day now!). Now that he has two teeth and one peeking through on top, he's been enjoying more table food when we eat our meals. He's a good little eater. When he had his 9-month appointment three weeks ago, he was 21 lbs and 29" (around the 68nd percentile for both, while he was in the 85th percentile for head circumference- for sure a Ryan!). Walking doesn't seem too far off for him, as he's been crusing around behind his walk-behind walker and around any edges within reach, and he'll balance for severl seconds at a time. Today, Iris and I were clapping as he walked behind his walker, and he stopped and let go of the walker to clap for himself with a huge grin, standing on his own while he did.
We love you, so, Ezekiel Thomas! What a blessing you are!
