Valentine flowers still keeping it real in the window.
{happy}
(a few of my biggest blessings...)A not-for-long six-year-old devouring a non-picture book on cat behavior during breakfast (on loan from his Aunt Ashley). Maybe when he's seven he'll use a spoon.
A five-year-old reading, voluntarily. (On the table beside her, a book she was writing/illustrating to read to her baby sister)
Mismatched with a snack and a counter-height vantage point.
This silly little leotard-sporting whim.
{funny}
Perhaps not so much funny as disturbing, but they are amusing critters to watch as they waddle around and wrestle with the crab apples. I'll take them over the opossums any day. Yuck. (Sorry about the poor image quality.)
{real}
We're getting out of here first thing in the morning to the Dells-- for four days and three nights. Wheeeee! Our flip flops, bathing suits, and bags are packed for fun times in the indoor water and theme parks and hush-in-a-hotel hotel. And the kids have no idea (I was stealth packing all of their bags today). They think we're just doing schoooool the next couple of days. Joke's on them! After this past winter, we thought a mini (warm!) vacation close to home would do us all some good. I can't wait.
