Bummer

Last night, we got a call from the Allegheny Health Department. Apparently, we were exposed to the measles while at the Toy Lending Library a week and a half ago (fitting that we've been referring to it as the "Germ Lending Library," I suppose) . Since we may have been infected, we're not supposed to go any place with kids for the next week (Anywhere?). Jack hasn't had both of his MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) vaccines, and Gail hasn't had any, and I guess most kids their age haven't. While I'm sure we have nothing to worry about, it's always scary to get a call like that, and of course, we are overly-aware now of any symptoms they might display. It didn't help that last night Jack, who always sleeps straight through, kept waking up with a dry cough, asking for a nose wipe. But what kids don't have those symptoms about half of the time? Here's the news article on the outbreak case.
